Mayflies (Ephemeroptera) in the adult state live from several hours to several days; some species — only 1 day. Because of this, they are also called day-flies.

Life of bagworm moths (Psychidae) in the adult state lasts for… minutes.

Pine weevils (Curculionidae) and darkling beetles (Tenebrionidae) live in the adult stage for 2-3 years.

Queens of domestic bees live for 3 years (5 years maximum); worker bees — only 26-40 days.

Female ants can live up to 15 years. On the con-trary, the life of the male ants lasts for days: after copulation they die.
